The latest version, 2.7.0 of Radio Station (FREE) by netmix® is now available for download.
2.7.0 includes feature updates and bug fixes from multiple unannounced releases, which are: 2.5.18, 2.5.19, and 2.5.20. These unannounced releases were part of fixes for various stations that required specific support fixes.
So, what happened to 2.6.0 and the range of releases that might go with that version number? Well, Radio Station PRO is currently at 2.6.x, and we didn’t want to foster any confusion between the free and PRO versions.

Enhancements
Dashboard Widget
n this release, we have included a new Dashboard Overview widget (shown below). The widget appears on the main WordPress Dashboard. The widget includes:
- Quick Links – Easy access to all site features and settings.
- Station Schedule – Displays show shifts and schedule coverage as a percentage value, i.e., your schedule is 98% complete for all available show times.
- Station Content displays:
- The total number of Shows published and the percentage of Shows that are active.
- The percentage of Shows with completed descriptions.
- The number of Hosts assigned to Shows, and the percentage of Hosts assigned.
- The number of Genres assigned, and the percentage of Shows assigned genres.
- How many Playlists are assigned to Shows and Episodes.
- How many Episodes are published against the number of existing Shows.
- Station Settings – confirms or suggests improvements to various settings, as well as the percentage of settings completed.
Dashboard Sidebar Separation of Content from Settings
On the WordPress sidebar, you’ll notice that all content options have been separated from all settings. Content production now takes place under “Station Content” in the left-hand WordPress vertical dashboard navigation menu.
Overrides are now Special Overrides
We changed the display name of Overrides to Special Overrides so station operators would better understand that an override is a special use case or circumstance and not a general schedule update. A Special Override takes the place of an impacted show on the schedule.
Timezone and Clock Timezone Visual Display Formatting
We made slight changes to the timezone and timeshift styles for visual improvements..
Extra Station Info Meta Fields
Added text fields for Station Tagline, e.g., “Hot hits 24/7”; Callsign; Frequency, e.g., “99.5 FM,” and Location are now available to display additional station metadata. These options are under the General tab on the Radio Station Settings screen.
